What we collect when you visit goprove.com or sign up, and what we do with it.

Who we are

Prove is operated by SpaceProof Industries Limited, a New Zealand company (company number 9379989, NZBN 9429053205179). This policy covers goprove.com, signing up for Prove and your Prove account. How we handle your firm’s project data inside Prove is set out in our Data Processing Agreement and Terms of Service. Questions go to hello@goprove.com.

What we collect

When you visit goprove.com: the pages you view, your browser and device type, an approximate location from your IP address, the website that sent you, and the campaign tags or ad-click identifiers in the link you followed. When you request a demo: your work email, your firm, what you’d like to see, how you heard about us and the website or campaign that brought you. When you sign up: your name, email, firm, your firm’s country if you give one, and how you heard about us. Card details go straight to Stripe; we never see them. When you use the Prove app: which devices, browsers and networks sign in to your account, so we can protect accounts and make sure each seat is used by one person.

Cookies

prove_attribution remembers the first and latest website or campaign that brought you to us, for 180 days, so we can tell which of our marketing works. Our analytics provider, PostHog, sets a cookie that recognises your browser across goprove.com and the Prove app. In the Prove app, our monitoring provider, Datadog, also sets a cookie (_dd_s) that groups your activity into sessions so we can diagnose problems. We don’t use advertising cookies today; if that changes, this page will say so first. If your browser is set to a European time zone or sends Global Privacy Control, we set neither the attribution nor the analytics cookie and count your visit without one. The Datadog cookie is still set in the app.

How we use it

To reply to demo requests, run your account and billing, keep the service secure, and understand which pages and marketing bring engineers to Prove. We don’t sell personal information.

Who we share it with

Service providers that run these parts of Prove for us: Amazon Web Services (hosting), PostHog (website analytics), HubSpot (demo requests), Supabase (accounts), Stripe (payments), Datadog (app monitoring) and Slack (internal notifications to our team, for example when a firm signs up). The full list of providers that process customer data is in our Data Processing Agreement.

Where it is stored

Our providers store data in Australia, the United States and other countries. We choose providers that protect personal information to a standard comparable to New Zealand’s Privacy Act 2020.

How long we keep it

Analytics data for up to two years, demo requests while we’re in touch with you, and account and billing records for as long as your firm uses Prove and as the law requires after that.

Your rights

You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing hello@goprove.com. If you’re unhappy with our response, you can complain to the New Zealand Office of the Privacy Commissioner, or in Australia to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Changes

We’ll update this page when our practices change. Last updated 22 October 2026.
